You learn how to experiment with your builds, and how to optimize them. Some schools have dedicated game design degree programs, but if you can't find one that suits you, consider other subjects of study that relate to game design, such as: Computer science. Enroll in one of the game design degree programs at a community college or university. This program might be primarily for building characters but it is also a great teaching tool. Earn a high school diploma, GED or other equivalency degree. No way I would have made that many character in that time by hand. That means I have created a new character at a rate of about 4 a week.
